CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) homes deliver outstanding energy efficiency through the combination of massive timber panels, vapor-open construction, and advanced insulation systems.

High Thermal Performance

CLT walls combined with external thermal insulation (ETICS or ventilated façades) can achieve U-values below 0.15 W/m²K, meeting or exceeding the requirements for low-energy and passive houses.

Thermal Mass and Stability

Unlike conventional timber-frame construction, solid CLT panels store heat and reduce indoor temperature fluctuations, lowering heating and cooling demand throughout the year, especially during transitional seasons.

Airtightness and Vapor Permeability

CLT structures provide excellent airtightness while allowing controlled vapor diffusion. With appropriate membranes, sealing tapes, and ventilation systems, blower-door test results below 0.6 ACH are achievable, meeting passive house standards.
